02 / How it works

Know the price.
Make the call.

Start with what you buy today. Every decision stays yours.

Step 01

Bring your invoices.

Import an invoice CSV. Purchases are grouped by product, and missing pack sizes are flagged for review.

Run a spend audit
Step 02

Compare per unit.

A case isn’t always a case. Prices are normalized per unit, freight is included, and backorders are left out.

Step 03

Approve one order.

Split the order across distributors, review the total, and approve it. Nothing goes out without you.

04 / Signals

Say the number,
then stop.

Every alert leads with the figure and says what to do next. Green means saved. Red means a price went up. Amber means stock is low. Each one carries its word, too.

05 / The details

Good questions.
Straight answers.

What can I use today?

Onboarded clients sign in to a workspace with a CSV spend audit, a sample catalog, per-unit price comparison, order splitting with freight, and downloadable purchase orders. Workspace data stays in your browser.

Which businesses is it for?

Independent grocery stores, liquor and beverage stores, and clinics and practices. One platform, with catalog categories and vocabulary for each.

Does Crate Supply replace my distributors?

No. It sits above the relationships you already have. The workspace uses fictional distributors to show the workflow. Live distributor accounts and contract pricing are not connected yet.

Are the savings guaranteed?

No. Demo prices illustrate the comparison. Audit results depend on your inputs and leave out taxes and contract eligibility. Real savings need confirmed prices and fulfilled orders.

Does it place orders or substitute products on its own?

No. You review every draft and export the purchase order. Substitutes are suggestions until you approve them, and clinical equivalents need qualified review.

What does the AI do?

Comparisons and stock suggestions use transparent calculations. AI invoice extraction, distributor integrations and a conversational assistant are planned. They are not active yet.

How much does it cost?

Client workspace access is provided during onboarding. Plans and onboarding terms are set with each design partner during the pilot.
